To be just means to evaluate others according to the evidence. Are they acting rationally? Are they a threat your life?

Ayn Rand advised a very wide viewpoint in the evaluation of others. For example you may regard a business competitor as hindering your life. Is this a just evaluation?

First of all you must realize that were your positions reversed, you would have made a similar effort to win the business. Objective moral principles cannot be evil if practiced by one person and good only if practiced by you.

Justice requires you to judge the actions of another as you would objectively judge your own actions in the same circumstances.
