PACKAGE DEAL Index
In a package deal
fallacy, crucial differences are not discriminated. Things are treated as a
whole, which do not properly belong together.
For example:
"A hungry man is
not free." Does not discriminate economic power from political power.
"There is no
such thing as necessity. The United States could have had one hundred states,
the solar system could have had three planets." This lumps improperly an
example involving human choice and another without human choice. It also
downgrades or tries to negate what is the given from existence.
