Once installed you should see the following files and folder:
Other files will be generated upon running SpamSquash, so the list isn't exhaustive.
After installation there will be a shortcut icon in your "Startup" folder, a sub folder of "Documents and Settings". There will be a SpamSquash desktop icon, and the Start Menu will have a new entry for SpamSquash, which includes a link to the www.alwayslearn.com website.
When the program is running, you will see the SpamSquash icon in the system tray of the operating system. This is in the lower right hand corner of the Window, next to the clock. Double click on the icon if you want to open the application. Or, press the right mouse button and select "Expand Window". Take a look at the Screenshot to get an idea of how the application should look. Sometimes the lower window paine isn't visible when the window is small. You can slide the lower part up by mousing over and dragging to reveal a window for email text. Or, expand the window to full screen size and you should see it.
After having installed, you will want to Setup the program, i.e. configure it with your client and POP3 email.
Copies of SpamSquash are referred to as "clones".
If you want more than one copy of SpamSquash running to filter another email client, you will need to run the SpamSquash utility, SQUtility.exe.
SQUtility.exe is located in the same directory as SpamSquash.exe, and should also be available through the "Start" menu, under the "SpamSquash" group.
Note, do not move the utility to another directory. It will only work if it's in the same directory with "SpamSquash.exe".
Once the utility is run, you should see a new icon on your desktop, from where you can run the clone.
It also puts an icon in your startup directory (in your user folder) so that it will run at start up.
If your copy of SpamSquash is registered, you will have to renter your name and registration code for each new clone you create.
