White List and Black List

A "white list" is used to insure that certain emails won't be filtered out. A "black list" is used to insure that certain emails are definitely marked as spam.

To create a white or black list go to the menu and select the option "Filtering: White List" or "Filtering: Black List" depending upon which list you want to add to. This will launch a dialog box.

Type a phrase you want to filter in the upper left hand text box. Specify the field you want to look for that phrase in ('From', 'To' or 'Subject') and then whether you want the match to be case sensitive or case insensitive. Press the 'Add' button to add to the list. Follow the same process to add more entries to the list. Press 'OK' to save the changes. Press 'Cancel' to leave the list as it was prior to you launching the dialog box.

You can delete or edit a selected entry as well.

To edit an entry select it. Make the changes you want, and then press the "Edit" button.

To delete a list entry, select the entry you want deleted, and then press the "Delete" button.

To accept the changes you made, you must press "OK" when closing the dialog box. Press "Cancel" to leave the list unchanged.

See Data Backup for backing up the white list and/or black list.
